Affy with the PaintX crewthe team
your trusted painters, Sydney-wide
PaintX is a family business. Affy founded it, and she still walks every job before it is quoted. Behind her is a small crew of painters, and she stays close to every job from the site walk to the handover.
More than 500 homes later, the routine has not changed: protect the room, prepare the surface properly, two full coats, tidy up, and put the guarantee in writing.
“The finish you notice is the preparation you don’t. Anyone can roll a wall — the difference is the two days before the roller comes out.”

asked most
The things people want to know before they pick up the phone. If yours is not here, ask — it is probably a two-minute answer.

01Do I need to move out while you paint?
No. We work room by room, use low-VOC products, and leave every space usable at the end of the day. Most of our interior clients stay put for the whole job.
02How long does it take to paint a house interior?
A single room is usually a day. A two-bedroom apartment is typically three to five days. A four-bedroom house with trim is generally one to two weeks.
03How many coats do you apply?
Two full topcoats as standard, over spot-primed repairs. Some colours genuinely need a third, and we’ll tell you that in the quote rather than on the day.
04What paint do you use?
Premium trade-grade products chosen for the surface, and named in your quote so you can hold us to them.
05Do you move the furniture?
Yes, we move and cover what two people can safely handle, and put it back as each room finishes.
06What if I find something wrong after you leave?
Tell us. Touch-ups in the first weeks are part of the job, and the workmanship guarantee runs for five years in writing.
07Do you work across all of Sydney?
Yes. From the Hills to the Shire, the Inner West to the Northern Beaches — one team and the same standard wherever the job is.
08Are you licensed and insured?
Yes — NSW contractor licence 393679C and $20 million public liability cover, with the certificate of currency available on request and attached to every strata and commercial quote. Check the licence on the NSW register.
