Much of the Eastern Suburbs lives in inter-war and Art Deco apartment blocks. A repaint there is a committee decision, so the scope has to be clear enough to approve, and the work has to run around residents who are home all day. We write the scope surface by surface and keep the building manager informed as the job moves.

Facades facing the ocean take salt and sun every day. We wash them down before preparing, deal with spalling render and rusting balustrade fixings as part of the scope, and name the coastal-grade products in the quote.

Paddington and Woollahra terraces carry cast-iron lace, timber joinery and old paint that may contain lead, which is checked before any sanding. We strip what needs stripping, and prime bare iron before it sees a topcoat. Many of these streets are heritage conservation areas, so check with council before changing the colours at the front.
